Test: Test: UBC 26-3, Room Fire Test Standard for interior of foam plastic systems
Criteria: Test specimen shall not be charred at the extremities. Additional, specimen shall not produce excess smoke during test. Although not specified, flashover is considered to be an extreme type of failure. Flashover is judged to have occurred when heat flux at the floor level exceeds 20 k W/m2, upper level air temperatures exceed 1100 degrees F or flames project out the room door opening. Observations: Char thickness above and around the crib area was approximately 4 to 6 inches. No charring of the panels at the extremities were observed. Flashover did not occur. The sample tested met all criteria of the UBC 26-3 test procedure.
